Hello everyone, I'm working on a project and I have a few questions.
My first question is about layer symbology when making a model. I have a layer file with the symbology I'd like to use for the output, is it possible to somehow permanently tell the model to use this file, or maybe to make it a parameter so that (as long as I include that file along with the toolbox/model) it can be set by the user? If the latter is possible, how do I easily include that file along with the toolbox?
My second question is this: If I have a shapefile made up of points, and I have a layer such as a soil survey (in this case, it's the USA Soil Survey from Esri, first one when you search for "soil" from Add data from ArcGIS online... I think it's a raster...) can I somehow make my points determine what type of soil they're on? For example, to maybe add a new field in the shapefile's attribute table and then fill it in with what type of soil each point is located on... I hope this makes sense.
I think that's it for now. I'd appreciate any advice!
Thanks,
Carly
