Hi,
I have a file of single gps points that I am converting to single, short lines. I have done the conversion by adding another 2 columns in the excel sheet with gps points 5meters east of the original point. I would like to snap these lines to a polygon file (easy enough), but I want the lines to stay 5 meters in length. Is there a way to easily force the length to remain 5 meters even after snapping? Right now, I am manually editing the lines after they have been snapped using Trim to Length (for those over 5 meters) and Continue Feature tool & Length (for those under 5 meters). But there are a lot of records, so a shortcut would be nice.
Any ideas are appreciated,
Danielle
