Creating a point where polygon and polyline intersect

Hi!

I am trying to create points along a stretch of road (polyline) where the road crosses different land cover types (polygons). I need points when the road enters polygon as well as when it exits a polygon. Any suggestions on how I could perform this? Thanks in advance!
