I am converting a Arcgis raster[grid] to netcdf but the background geoprocessor keeps failing, the filesize for netcdf output generated each time is exactly 4,195,75 KB . I have tried to use arcgis 10.0 and 10.1 and get the exact same size output each time when the process fails. The Arcgis raster [grid] i am trying to convert to netcdf slightly over is 46GB. I can subset the data and the process works fine tested with 100Mb portion on both 10 and 10.1
So my question: Is there a filesize limitation to the size of a raster file that can be converted to netcdf using this tool?
Notes: I have been watching the memory[ram] being used on both machines (two different servers) and neither are using more memory than the machine has while the process is running. so i do not think the issue is a question of available ram.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated,
