I am using ModelBuilder to do a few processes to four input shapefiles and then merge them into a single dataset at the end. I've set up the merge tool to do a new field schema and mapped the input fields to my new outputs. This merge process throws a 001156 error saying it can't add the value 'WARREN' to field name 'lcity'. I've got the output field type set to Text and all my input fields are text. The longest input field length is 32 and my output field length is 50. I've done quite a bit of searching but can't find this problem discussed on any forums. Anyone seen this issue or know a workaround?
