model output display

Hi
How do I make my model to display the results when run in arcmap. When I run from the model window, the results display but
when I run it in arcmap or as a tool, the results are not displayed. I know I have to normally make the output a model parameter before it displays when run in arcmap. But this does not resolve the issue. Can someone help?
